My design inspiration comes from the idea of “Nature’s Walkie-Talkie”—a dialogue between human communication and the signals found in the natural world. The walkie-talkie represents connection, frequency and call-and-response interaction, while nature communicates through movement, wind, rhythm and organic patterns.

The tiger cowrie shell becomes the core symbol of this concept. Its smooth spiral form and resonant cavity resemble a natural receiver or amplifier. By scanning the shell and digitally smoothing its spotted pattern, I create a clean surface to reinterpret through 3D printing. Elements such as the word “roger”, along with tree- and grass-inspired motifs, are integrated into the design.
