Proximal Phalanx: This is the first bone of the finger. It is long with a flat bottom and a curved top. The base has a deep cup shape, while the head ends in two small rounded bumps. 3. Middle Phalanx: A smaller version of the proximal bone, this acts as the middle link. It is shorter and thinner, with a double-grooved base and a pulley-shaped head at the top. 4. Distal Phalanx: This is the tiny bone at the very tip. It is shaped like a small spade or arrowhead.
