3D CAD model of a physics linear air track. Main chassis: long, rigid extruded aluminum rail with a 90-degree inverted-V guide track profile. Two upper inclined faces feature a uniform linear pattern of 1mm air orifices. Right end-cap: thick, flexible black corrugated rubber hose mated to a fixed cylindrical intake manifold block. Freestanding, unattached inverted-V aluminum glider sits coaxially over the guide track with a uniform 1mm clearance gap to simulate a floating air cushion. Glider top apex Front/rear glider faces: symmetrical spring steel loop bumpers. Support: three-point base chassis (dual-foot bracket left, single-foot bracket right). Each foot houses a knurled cylindrical manual leveling screw threaded vertically through the base. Two modular block brackets with cylindrical photogate sensors are clamped into a continuous side T-slot channel, aligned to detect the passing glider.
