PART 1: THE NIGHT OF BLOOD AND MONEY Rain dey fall heavily for Lagos that night. The kind rain wey fit wash away evidence. At exactly 11:47pm, twenty-four-year-old Teni stepped out of a yellow taxi and stood outside one old warehouse for Apapa. Her hands dey shake. Her phone vibrated. UNKNOWN NUMBER. She picked. "Don't enter that warehouse." The voice sounded distorted. "If you enter, somebody go die tonight." The line cut. Teni stared at the giant building. Inside that warehouse was the answer to a mystery wey don destroy her family for ten years. Her father died branded as a thief. Her mother died from depression. And everybody believed the story. Except Teni. She always knew something was wrong. Three weeks ago, she found an old flash drive hidden inside one of her father's books. Inside the flash drive were documents showing that ₦50 billion disappeared from a government project. But her father didn't steal it.
