A compact mechanical 3D printer extruder designed for multi color FDM 3D printing. The system has four separate filament inputs entering from the top of a small and compact extruder body. Each filament travels through a simple internal guide channel so the materials remain separated while moving toward the central extrusion mechanism. The extruder body is designed to be clean, simple, and symmetrical with minimal parts and a compact structure. The four filament paths meet in a central feeding system that pushes the filaments forward in a stable and controlled way. After the central extruder section the design splits into four short hotend outputs. Each output connects to its own nozzle.
