Design a two-piece 3D-printable spring-loaded locking bolt mechanism with a built-in spiral-track rotation feature. The assembly should consist of: Main body / housing: A cylindrical sleeve with a front mounting flange (≈25 mm square with screw holes). Inside the housing, create a helical (spiral) channel cut into the inner wall. The spiral groove should start near the inner end and twist ~1 full turn as it approaches the front, ending in a flat horizontal section that acts as a mechanical stop when the bolt is fully extended. The groove must be fully enclosed within the body, so the bolt’s handle rides inside it. Bolt / piston: A cylindrical plunger (≈12 mm Ø) with a short threaded hole or socket on the side near its rear end. A small handle pin (second printed part) screws into that hole after the bolt is inserted into the housing, so the pin rides inside the spiral channel. When assembled, the handle pin follows the spiral groove as the spring pushes the bolt forward, causing the bolt to rotate automatically while extending. When fully extended, the pin reaches the flat section of the spiral groove, where the geometry prevents any inward movement unless the bolt is rotated manually back along the spiral path. Spring cavity: Provide space behind the bolt for a standard compression spring (≈8 mm OD × 25–30 mm L). Assembly & constraints: Must print as only two or three parts: (1) bolt, (2) housing, (3) optional handle pin. All clearances ~0.3 mm for FDM 3D printing (PLA/PETG). Mechanism should print with no internal supports, oriented for easy assembly. Output watertight STL models ready for 3D printing. The final model should resemble a flush-mount locking piston that extends and locks by rotation via an internal spiral channel. The design should be less than 25 MB in side when exporting as STL.
