Create a functional mechanical ping-pong ball release mechanism for a tabletop experimental friction track. PURPOSE: The mechanism will hold and simultaneously release 5 ping-pong balls at the starting point of 5 parallel tracks. MAIN DIMENSIONS: - Overall width: minimum 600 mm - Designed for 5 parallel lanes. - Ping-pong ball diameter: 40 mm. - Five balls must start at exactly the same position. - The mechanism must be suitable for repeated experiments. RELEASE MECHANISM: Design a simple mechanical hand-operated release system. Preferred mechanism: - One horizontal release shaft runs across all 5 lanes. - Each lane has an individual ball stopper/gate connected to the same shaft. - When the user presses one large hand lever, the shaft rotates. - All 5 gates open simultaneously. - All 5 ping-pong balls are released at exactly the same time. - When the lever is released, a small spring returns the shaft and gates to the locked position. ALTERNATIVE: If a rotating shaft is difficult
