PURPOSE: - Hold four lithium battery packs taken from all-in-one PC or laptop adapters - Each pack is a 4S lithium pack made from 18650 cells - Tray must be safe, serviceable, and optimized for FDM 3D printing GENERAL FORM: - Rectangular removable tray - Slides into an enclosure from the rear or bottom - Industrial, functional design - No sharp edges near batteries CAPACITY & LAYOUT: - Holds 4 battery packs arranged in a 2×2 grid - Each pack placed in its own isolated compartment - Compartments separated by internal walls DIMENSIONS (PARAMETRIC / TARGET): - Designed for 18650-based laptop packs - Approximate single-pack footprint: - Width: 80–85 mm - Depth: 60–65 mm - Height clearance: 70 mm - Clearance around each pack: 1.5–2.0 mm - Tray wall thickness: 2.0–2.5 mm - Overall tray footprint sized to fit inside a 220×180 mm enclosure MECHANICAL FEATURES: - Side rails on left and right edges for sliding into enclosure - Rear finger-pull notch for easy removal - Strap slots (two per pack) for Velcro or fabric straps - Raised lips around each compartment to prevent pack movement - Flat base with optional foam pad recess SAFETY FEATURES: - Battery packs fully isolated from each other - No exposed metal near battery terminals - Optional snap-on or screw-on terminal cover area - Designed to work with battery packs that already include a BMS VENTILATION: - Elongated ventilation slots on tray sides - No ventilation directly under battery terminals - Designed to allow passive airflow 3D PRINTING REQUIREMENTS: - Material: PETG or ABS - Wall thickness: minimum 2 mm - No unsupported overhangs greater than 45° - Filleted internal corners (radius 2–3 mm) - Print orientation: flat on bed - Designed as a single solid STL STYLE: - Clean, industrial, laboratory-grade - Functional over decorative - Designed to integrate into a professional electronics enclosure
