Prompt
Design a compact TPU-printable badminton forehand grip guide that is directly based on my original blue 3D model. Do NOT redesign the geometry from scratch. Preserve the distinctive design language of the original model, including: • The diagonal index-finger guiding ridge • The soft S-shaped flow line on the outer surface • The natural thumb resting depression • The smooth, organic curves wrapping around the contact area • The overall ergonomic sculpting and asymmetric curvature The goal is to create a smaller, more minimal accessory that attaches only to a limited section of the octagonal badminton handle. The new model must retain the essential guiding surfaces from the original design, but scaled down and cropped to avoid covering the full handle. ——————— Functional Requirements: ——————— • The grip guide must help form a proper badminton forehand “Eastern grip.” - The index finger should naturally slide onto a diagonal surface angled 20–30 degrees upward. - The thumb should rest comfortably on a small, shallow curved pad. • Maintain the original ergonomic flow of the blue model, but remove any excess volume that fully wraps around the handle. • Reduce surface area so that only the guiding shapes remain—no cylindrical or tubular full-handle coverage. • The device must NOT interfere with switching to a backhand grip. - Avoid high walls, enclosed rings, deep holes, or restrictive frames. - Allow the thumb to slide upward freely. • The product must feel like a lightweight “finger placement cue,” not a replacement handle. ——————— Structural & Geometric Instructions: ——————— • Use the original model’s guiding shapes (ridge + thumb pad + curved flow) and extract them into a smaller, standalone piece. • Keep one side open so it does not wrap around the entire octagonal handle. • The interior should partially match the octagonal geometry—only on the side where finger guidance is needed. • Add 0.5–1.0 mm negative tolerance inside for TPU flex-fit attachment. • The model should “clip onto” one or two faces of the handle, not encircle it. • Overall thickness should be minimal so the natural grip size remains close to the original when the device is removed. • The piece should extend only as long as necessary to guide the index finger and thumb—approximately the length of one hand segment. ——————— Aesthetic / Form Requirements: ——————— • Maintain the same smooth, modern sports-equipment aesthetic as the original blue design. • Preserve organic curvature, rounded transitions, and soft ergonomic surfaces. • Do not copy or resemble existing commercial products like GripFixer; ensure all shapes are uniquely derived from my original model only. • Keep the silhouette compact, with a flowing, sculpted exterior. ——————— Output Requirements: ——————— • Produce a closed, watertight, 3D-printable mesh suitable for TPU printing. • Geometry should be optimized for flexible material without thin fragile edges. • Final design must look like a smaller, trimmed, functional version of the original blue model, retaining its visual identity while removing full-body coverage.
