Enhanced Performance Task Prompt ICT – DepEd Standard Laboratory (2D Shop Layout Design) With reference to the DepEd standards for an ICT Laboratory, carefully review the rubrics before starting this task to fully understand the performance expectations. Using the original ICT laboratory/shop layout you previously submitted and the insights gained from our previous sessions, design a 2D Enhanced ICT Laboratory Floor Plan that demonstrates efficient workflow, safety compliance, ergonomic planning, and professional technical presentation. Your output must be a 2D floorplan-style layout (similar to an architectural or technical drawing) and must strictly follow the DepEd standard requirements for an ICT Laboratory. Design Requirements 1. Ideal Workflow Diagram Design a clear Linear or U-shaped workflow with no crossing paths. Logically sequence all functional areas, such as: Entry / Preparation Area Student Workstations Instructor’s Area Server / Equipment Area Storage Area Exit Use directional arrows to clearly illustrate movement and workflow within the laboratory. 2. Risk and Hazard Mitigation Plan Identify and address physical, electrical, and ergonomic hazards common in ICT laboratories. Clearly indicate: Safety zones Emergency exits with 100% clearance compliance Fire extinguisher and first aid kit locations Electrical panels, cable trays, and power shut-off points Ensure proper spacing, ventilation, and cable management to reduce risks. 3. Ergonomic Optimization Apply human factors and ergonomic principles, including: Proper desk and chair heights appropriate for learners Adequate reach envelopes for keyboards, monitors, and peripherals Proper monitor height and viewing distance Task lighting and glare reduction Layout should minimize unnecessary movement, bending, and congestion. 4. Bottleneck Identification and Solutions Identify possible bottlenecks or choke points, such as: Narrow aisles Shared printers or servers Congested instructor or storage areas Propose structural and organizational solutions, including: Decentralized equipment placement Organized cable routing 5S shadow boards or labeled storage Clearly show how these solutions improve efficiency and flow. 5. Technical Presentation and Documentation Use correct technical terminology throughout. Include a clear and complete Legend/Key explaining all symbols, colors, arrows, and safety indicators used. Maintain a clean, professional layout consistent with ICT laboratory floor plan standards. Annotations may be presented in paragraph or bullet form, provided all criteria are clearly addressed. Output 2D ICT Laboratory Floor Plan Clear workflow arrows Safety, ergonomic, and bottleneck annotations Complete legend/key
