Good question! Let’s “lift the roof” 🌱 so you can imagine the inside of your prototype houses: Inside each house (prototype): An ESP32 board (the brain) – it’s a small microcontroller board with Wi-Fi. A relay module (the little “box” you saw in the design) – this acts like a smart switch to turn the appliance (your LED or fan/lamp) on and off. An LED bulb (or small light) to represent an appliance (e.g., a geyser, fridge, or heater). Wires connecting the ESP32 → relay → LED (appliance). Optional: a current sensor (tiny clip or module) to measure how much “power” the appliance is using. The boxes on the outside of the houses in the drawing represent the controller units (ESP32 + relay box). In your real prototype, these would sit inside the house and connect to the appliance wires. So if we cut the roof off, you’d see: 👉 one small ESP32 board, a relay box connected to it, and a glowing LED light (the “appliance”).
