Lockheed CL-1201 is a massive experimental flying-wing aircraft. The wing and fuselage are blended into one wide, thick shape with a very large wingspan. The body is short and wide, not a long tube. There are three large jet engines mounted on TOP of the wing, near the rear center section. The engines are clearly raised above the wing, fully visible, not inside the wing and not under the wing. Air intakes face upward, exhausts face backward. The underside of the wing is clean with no engines. A single tall vertical tail is mounted at the rear.
