Fearing that evil would one day seek to claim this enchanted world, He chose one of His most powerful angels for a sacred purpose. Into the angel’s hands, He placed His mightiest sword, infusing it with a fragment of divine power that outshone even the brightest spell. Thus began the God Shield cycle: a legacy bound by Heaven’s will, in which each bearer would wield not just a blade, but a piece of God's own strength, passed down through generations to defend Eldoria from darkness. Every generation, beneath a sky shimmering with ancient stars, the five great nations gather in Eldoria for the sacred ceremony of succession. From Nivar’s frostbound towers, Solara’s sunlit islands, Viridia’s misty forests, Azara’s golden deserts, and Drakhan’s mountain citadels, envoys and elders arrive—each bearing their nation’s hopes and magical traditions. At the heart of this ceremony, the spirits of all previous God Shields unite, their combined power seeking out the one destined by God to inherit the legacy. This time, the magic flowed to Ephraim—a boy gifted with the exceptional (but “normal”) power to learn any spell through study, practice, and experience. Chosen by God, Ephraim is not just powerful in magic but also strong in body and swift in action, destined to unite the nations and face the coming darkness.
