objective : To safely and instantly release all tethered cattle during sudden flooding. Prevents drowning without needing human intervention. Works in conjunction with water-level sensors and hydraulic control systems. 1. Tether Setup Each animal is tied with a chain or rope to a post. The chain passes through a quick-release pin or latch. Pins are designed to hold under normal tension but release instantly when pulled by actuator. 2. Hydraulic Actuator Usually a linear piston-type actuator. Connected mechanically to the quick-release pins via a rod or lever. When activated: The actuator retracts (pulling the rod) Pulls the pins out of their slots All chains are freed simultaneously 3. Trigger System Water-level sensor → hydraulic pump → control valve → actuator Can include manual override lever for human release.
