Step 3: Create inner cut (frame) Click top face of block Click Sketch Draw: Another rectangle inside Set size = 54 mm × 54 mm Step 4: Cut Click Pull tool Click inside the small square Now: Drag it downwards Type -20 mm This will remove material Now you get a frame PART 3: CREATE GRID (STRAIGHT) Step 5: Sketch grid Click front face of frame Click Sketch Draw vertical bars: Draw 1 rectangle: Width = 2 mm Height = 54 mm Step 6: Pattern Select that rectangle Click Pattern → Linear Set: Direction = horizontal Spacing = 10 mm Count = 4 or 5 Step 7: Horizontal bars Draw 1 horizontal rectangle: Height = 2 mm Length = 54 mm Pattern vertically: Spacing = 10 mm Step 8: Pull grid Click Pull Select all grid rectangles Pull = 10 mm Now grid is formed. PART 4: CREATE SWEPT GRID FIN Step 9: Copy frame Copy same frame or recreate Step 10: Sketch diagonal grid Click front face → Sketch Draw: One rectangle at 45° angle Thickness = 2 mm Step 11: Pattern Pattern along diagonal direction Then create opposite diagonal You get X-pattern grid Step 12: Pull Select all diagonal bars Pull = 10 mm PART 5: CREATE FLOW DOMAIN Step 13: Create air box Click Design → Box Make box size: Length = 300 mm Width = 200 mm Height = 200 mm Place fin inside center Step 14: Subtract Click Combine → Subtract Select: Target = air box Tool = grid fin Click ✔ Now you have fluid domain DONE GEOMETRY NEXT STEP (later) After this you will: Go to Meshing Then Fluent Then set velocity and calculate hinge moment SIMPLE CHECK You should have: One straight grid fin One swept grid fin Both inside air box
