The AeroBot combines buoyant lift from a blimp with dynamic lift and control from a sailplane. A pure blimp is hard to steer and drags in Venus’s winds, while a pure sailplane needs constant power — the hybrid uses the best of both. The main body is lenticular, 20 m wide and 5 m tall, shaped like a lens to generate lift, reduce drag, and stay balanced without complex suspension. Fixed wings extend 12 m, tapered and swept at 25°, adding stability and lift at 30–50 m/s in Venus’s dense atmosphere. A V‑tail replaces separate stabilisers, saving weight and drag while controlling yaw and pitch. Together, body, wings, and tail make the craft stable, efficient, and easy to control in strong winds. The wide body resists rolling, wings damp turbulence, and the V‑tail gives precise control. Built from strong, light composites with acid‑resistant coatings, the structure spreads loads evenly and remains reliable for long missions.
