The Wraith — visual concept This is a tall (2.5–3 m) entity with unnaturally elongated proportions. Its body is woven from black smoky matter with purple hues; it pulsates and changes shape in response to its victims' fear (becoming more massive and aggressive). Its hands, with long bony fingers, almost touch the ground, dissolving into thin air at the tips. Instead of a face, it has a dark surface with two burning spotlight eyes, where distorted grimaces (screams, smiles) sometimes appear. Its neck can extend toward its victims. The creature is surrounded by a fog in which faces flicker. When it moves, it distorts space and reality, emitting a many-voiced whisper. It appears to be dressed in tattered shreds of darkness.
