This is diagram for barring gear mechanism. in this turbine, compressor and generator are mounted on Turbine shaft, in which only turbine shaft rotates. on turbine shaft barring gear is also mounted. on the auxiliary shaft 02 gears named driving gear and Turning gear are attached.the ratchet hits the driving gear periodically in up and down motion. this makes the driving gear to rotate, since driving gear and turning gear are mounted on same shaft causing auxiliary shaft to rotate. now the turning gear is in mesh with barring gear, when turning gear rotates it causes barring gear to rotate. since barring gear is mounted on turbine shaft it causes whole turbine shaft to rotate. the turbine , compressor and generator does not rotate with the Turbine shaft.remove the hand from ratchet.now pased on the uploaded picture and the details of the whole mechanism create a 3d model and also show its mechanism in motion
