We are seeking original exterior product design concepts for a premium, plastic-free electric and manual toothbrush made from a single-piece anodized aluminum unibody for our bootstrapped start-up, Lumari. The design must accommodate: • A replaceable and recyclable brush head system • Internal components typical of a modern electric toothbrush (motor, battery, electronics), without requiring detailed engineering solutions This contest is focused on industrial design, ergonomics, proportions, and visual form language. Detailed internal engineering, brush head mechanisms, electronics layouts, and functional architectures should be treated as abstracted constraints, not fully defined solutions. Designers should assume realistic internal volumes and design the exterior accordingly, while prioritizing manufacturability, ergonomics, and premium aesthetics. Color scheme should include white, black, silver, and rose gold. Internal components, electronics, brush head engineering, and functional mechanisms are explicitly out of scope for this contest. Designers should treat all internal systems as abstracted constraints only, without proposing or defining technical solutions. Selected designer(s) will be invited to continue under NDA for a paid Phase 2 engagement, where detailed engineering and functional development will occur. Wants: Submissions will be evaluated based on: • Originality and clear differentiation from existing electric toothbrushes • Quality of exterior industrial design and overall form language • Ergonomic comfort, grip logic, and hand balance • Intelligent accommodation of a replaceable, recyclable brush head (without defining the attachment mechanism) • Believable proportions that account for abstracted internal components (battery, motor, electronics) • Manufacturability suitability for anodized aluminum unibody construction • Simplicity, cohesion, and premium, timeless aesthetic • Clarity and quality of visual presentation (renders, views, explanations) Don't Wants: • No close resemblance to Sonicare, Oral-B, or other existing toothbrush designs • No visible plastic exterior parts • No exposed screws, seams, or overly complex surface detailing • No gaming, sci-fi, or aggressive aesthetics • No detailed mechanical, electrical, or brush-head attachment solutions • No internal layouts, tolerances, or engineering schematics
