Blade: The cutting component is a replaceable, trapezoid-shaped segment made of an orange, semi-translucent material. This appears to be a specialized blade, possibly made of a ceramic or a hardened plastic composite, designed for scoring or cutting materials like tape, cardboard, or vinyl without the risk of rust or sparking that metal blades pose.
Handle/Body: The main body is constructed from durable, colored plastic. The primary color is a deep purple, which forms the core housing of the tool.
Mechanism Cover: A bright lime green component acts as a sliding or hinged cover. This part secures the blade cartridge inside and is likely how the user advances the blade to a fresh, sharp segment.
Pivot Point: An orange circular rivet or button is visible on the green cover, which is probably part of the blade-advancement or locking mechanism.
Branding: A subtle, molded logo on the lime green section features a stylized number '7' crowned with a small symbol, suggesting this could be from a brand like CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool) or another manufacturer known for tactical and utility gear.
Construction: A silver screw at the base of the green piece indicates robust assembly and allows for potential disassembly for blade replacement or maintenance.
Overall Impression:
The knife has a practical yet playful design. The high-contrast colors (purple, lime green, and orange) make it highly visible and difficult to misplace. Its small size and safety-focused design (using a non-metallic blade) suggest it is intended for everyday carry (EDC), use in offices, workshops, or by hobbyists for light-duty tasks.

The 2D CAD design below assumes the following:

Printed Parts: Handle, Main Shaft Housing, Replaceable Tip Body, Release Lever.

Non-Printed Hardware (Required):

1x Small Compression Spring: (Fits inside the shaft, approx. 4-5mm OD).

1x Metal Dowel Pin/Rod: (Approx. 1.5mm diameter, acts as the pivot for the lever).

(Optional but recommended) Metal blade insert: The V-tip should ideally be a small metal piece inserted into the printed tip body for actual cutting ability.Technical Description of Operation based on Section A-A:

The Compression Spring (S6) sits on an internal ledge (S7) inside the housing.

The Replaceable Tip (S5) is pushed into the housing, compressing the spring.

The Release Lever hooks onto a notch in the tip (S2 holding S5), locking it in place under spring tension.

To release, you pull the Lever Tab (S4) outward. The lever pivots on the Metal Pin (S3), disengaging the hook (S2) from the notch.

The spring ejects the tip upwards.Summary of 3D Printing Strategy based on this 2D Design:
